Depending on the season you visit, you will see a different side of our town!
Summer
Sandy or pebbled, busy or remote, Nafplio's beaches are definitely worth a visit, offering a refreshing break to your cultured trip. Although widely known for the beauty and the culture of its city, the beaches of Nafplion are a happy surprise to visitors, one that you should all experience! Karathona and Arvanitia are the two cove beaches within the town and are easily accessible. Karathona is large and sandy, it offers beach bars and restaurants alongside the beach. Between Palamidi Castle and Akronafplia Fortress, the rocky beach of Arvanitia offers brave tourists the chance to explore the rocky coves and jump off the rocks. The Tolo beach stretches for about one kilometer starting from the beach "Psili Ammos" and ending in the small picturesque village port where the fishing boats and various excursion boats will always be seen tied. The beach location and infrastructure combine the opportunity for swimming, relaxing on the beach, and enjoying a coffee, drink, or food near the sea, as along it you will find traditional taverns, cafes & bars. Kastraki is a small public beach next to the walls of Asini, 500m from Tolo. You can combine a swim here with a walk around the ruins of the ancient acropolis of Asine. The beach is small, with gravel and sand. The seabed is sandy and the water crystal clear. On the cove you will also find our favourite little Tavern on the water - Asini te The beach is to the right of the archaeological site. Plaka beach is accessible by car, bicycle, and even on foot. Plaka took its name from the large pieces of plaques found in some parts of the seabed. In the evenings, the beach is transformed into an attractive destination, as you can find coolness and have fun at the many summer bars along the beach. The locals will send you for a swim in Agios Nikolaos beach. The road signs you will find on your way, write "Kondili beach". A sure thing is that the double-named beach is one of the best beaches in the wider area. Four beach bars, water sports and a lot of empty space for those who want their privacy. Last but not least, the hidden beach Villes, which is not easily accessible but offers great crystal clean waters and wonderful views. The beach is sandy and is made out of small coves that will give you the feeling of being a castaway on a warm sunny beach.
